Newcastle United hold talks with Arnaud Lusamba?

Nice midfielder Arnaud Lusamba has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Newcastle United.

With a Saudi Arabia-based consortium attempting to buy the Magpies, it remains unclear whether the the North-East team will be active during the next window.

However, according to Chronicle Live, the ongoing uncertainty has not stopped the Premier League outfit putting together a shortlist of possible additions.

Due to just one year remaining on his contract, Lusamba is said to be regarded as an attractive options by Newcastle.

The 23-year-old playmaker contributed one goal and two assists from 15 appearances before Ligue 1 was ended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Leicester City, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Lyon and Werder Bremen are also in the hunt for the Frenchman.
