Aleksandar Mitrovic on verge of Newcastle United switch?

Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is edging closer to a move to Newcastle United, according to reports.

The 20-year-old Serbian international scored 23 goals in the Belgian Pro League last season, and has been the subject of ongoing speculation.

Porto had appeared to be ready to scupper the deal, but a £13m fee is now in place and Mitrovic is on his way to Tyneside for a medical, reports ITV Sport.

Mitrovic, who has 13 caps for his country, joined Anderlecht from Partizan in 2013.
