Papiss Cisse reaffirms desire to stay at Newcastle United

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has reiterated that he has no desire to leave the Sports Direct Arena this summer.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from the North East, with many suggesting that the Magpies will struggle to keep hold of the forward following a scintillating season at the club.

"I am very happy in Newcastle and I want to stay there for many years," Cisse told Sky Sports News.

"We were close to a Champions League position so next season hopefully we will qualify for that and everyone will taste the Champions League. I am looking forward to next season."

Cisse scored 13 goals in 14 league appearances for Newcastle after arriving at the club in January.
