Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew makes four changes to his team for their Premier League clash with West Ham United following their opening-day defeat.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has made four changes to his side for their Premier League clash with West Ham United this afternoon.

Davide Santon, Vurnon Anita, Sylvain Marveaux and Shola Ameobi come into the team to replace Yoan Gouffran, Cheick Tiote, Jonas Gutierrez and the suspended Steven Taylor, following their defeat to Manchester City on Monday.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has made one change of his own from his side's opening day win over Cardiff City.

Last week's goalscorer Joe Cole drops out of the starting lineup and is replaced by summer signing Stewart Downing, who featured from the bench against the Bluebirds.

Newcastle: Krul, Debuchy, Coloccini, Yanga-Mbiwa, Santon, Ben Arfa, Sissoko, Anita, Marveaux, Ameobi, Cisse
