Report: Newcastle United's Alan Pardew to communicate with bench over phone

Report: Pardew to communicate over phone

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew will be able to communicate with his team over phone despite his stadium ban, according to a report.

The 52-year-old has been banned for seven matches by the English FA for headbutting Hull City midfielder David Meyler during the Premier League fixture between the two sides at the KC Stadium on March 1.

The first three matches will see Pardew serve a stadium ban, while the remaining four will see him suspended from the touchline.

However, The Mirror claims that Pardew will be able to communicate with his bench via the phone.

It has also been reported that the Newcastle boss will watch the Magpies' Premier League clash against Fulham on Saturday in the team hotel with a match analyst and will send his advice to his assistant John Carver, who will be in the dugout.

Newcastle are currently eighth in the league with 43 points from 28 matches.
