Alan Pardew: 'We need to be professional'

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew urges his team to produce a solid performance to win back the fans in their Premier League clash with Hull City at St James' Park.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has called on his side to be professional to produce a match-winning performance against Hull City in their Premier League clash.

Pardew is reportedly facing mass protests calling for his removal as the Magpies manager at St James' Park by the club's supporters, due to his side's poor start to the season.

However, the 53-year-old is hopeful that a strong display by his team will ease the pressure on his position.

He told the club's official website: "It's about being professional, going out there on Saturday and being as strong as we can be and trying to win as many fans back with our performance as we can.

"We need to get back to not too long ago and get that performance that we had at Villa, and get ourselves a win.

"With players and staff, what we have to do is try and make sure that we give as professional a performance as we can."

Newcastle are currently bottom of the Premier League after four matches this season.
