Newcastle United's Alan Pardew hails Tim Krul as 'one of the best'

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has called Tim Krul one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League after his performance in their victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Magpies claimed a 1-0 win over Spurs at White Hart Lane, with Krul making 14 saves.

"He's had a few good ones for us. I think he is the best Dutch goalie, for sure, and one of the best in this league," he told Sky Sports News.

"He's been so hurt with injuries, he's never really had a good run of late - in the last 18 months - but today he was back on form. He's been brilliant for us."

Newcastle moved up to ninth in the table after today's win, with 17 points from 11 matches.
