A group of Newcastle United supporters vandalised the Sports Direct Arena during a reserve game against arch rivals Sunderland last night.
The Magpies' fans tried to throw signs displaying 'Sports Direct' onto the pitch during the 3-3 match after ripping them from the walls in the East Stand.
The disturbance required officials to briefly stop the game in order to calm the crowd and prevent the signs from appearing on the pitch.
Newcastle's stadium, formerly known as St James' Park, was renamed by club owner Mike Ashley in November.
