Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revaled that he learned his physical style from former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer.
Drogba's trademark at Chelsea has been his power and strength but he insists that he did not play that way until he faced Shearer during his time at Marseille.
The Ivorian said: "When I came here, I didn't know I had that game in me. I learned that, and I adapted to the Premier League and the way football is over here.
"To last in this league, you have to adapt your game, to the physical condition of the other players, to the pace of the game. I think I managed quite well.
"But I did model myself on Shearer because I had the chance to play against him in that UEFA Cup semi-final in my last year at Marseille."
Chelsea face Liverpool in the FA Cup final this afternoon at Wembley.
