Newcastle United's Jack Colback focused on Hull City

Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback insists that his side are focusing all their efforts in getting a positive result from their next match against Hull City.

Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback is adamant that his side have to get back to form in their next Premier League outing against Hull City.

The Magpies are currently training in Dubai as they are not in action in the FA Cup this weekend after being knocked out in the third round by Leicester City.

Colback has revealed that he and his teammates are using their time away to recover from the hectic festive fixture schedule, and is determined to come back looking to end his side's four-game winless run.

He told the club's official website: "We're training like would be back home with the focus on Hull. It's going to be a big game for us, one that we need to try and win. We want to get back to winning ways and set up the rest of the season on a positive note.

"Once you get Christmas out of the way, the games go back to one a week and when you miss a Saturday, it feels like a long two weeks without playing.

"We want to be in the cup still - we wish we were playing this weekend - but that wasn't to be so you've got to try and make the most of it and make the most of the two weeks by preparing well for the Hull game."

Newcastle are 11th in the Premier League after 22 matches this season.
