Newcastle United's Hatem Ben Arfa has expressed his belief that his side could mount a serious title challenge next season.
Ben Arfa was a key part of the Newcastle side that finished fifth last season, and believes that they can go at least one better in the upcoming campaign.
Manager Alan Pardew has managed to keep hold of his best players during the summer, and Ben Arfa refused to rule out the possibility of winning the league.
"All the players have stayed here. I think we have to have confidence as we have very good players. Maybe if we feel very good, we can finish between fourth and first. Why not? Why can we not say we could be champions?" said Ben Arfa.
"Maybe? Anything is possible. We can challenge for it. We have good players, a good stadium and great supporters.
"We have to have confidence. I believe we can do what I say."
The Magpies begin their campaign at home to Tottenham Hotspur on August 18.
