Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe is set to name a strong starting side for Wednesday's EFL Cup quarter-final contest with Fulham.
Dan Burn (rib), Nick Pope (muscle), Kieran Trippier (hamstring), Sven Botman (back), William Osula (ankle) are out of the fixture due to injury problems.
Confirmation of Burn's issue has now arrived, with the England international suffering a broken rib and punctured lung during the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland on Sunday.
As a result, there is set to be a start in the middle of the defence for Fabian Schar.
Howe will make changes from the side that took to the field against Sunderland, with Jacob Murphy, Yoane Wissa and Harvey Barnes potentially being introduced in the final third.
Joelinton was an unused substitute against Sunderland, but the Brazilian is in line to feature from the first whistle in the League Cup quarter-final.
Howe does not have many options when it comes to the full-back positions due to injury issues, so Lewis Hall and Valentino Livramento are set to continue in the XI.
Meanwhile, Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is too important to leave out.
Newcastle United possible starting lineup:
Ramsdale; Livramento, Schar, Thiaw, Hall; Miley, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Murphy, Wissa, Barnes
