Edinson Cavani helps Napoli complete Siena comeback

Marek Hamsik scores in stoppage time as Napoli edge Siena 2-1 at the San Paolo Stadium.

Two goals in the last 15 minutes have helped Napoli complete a late turnaround to defeat relegated Siena in Serie A this afternoon.

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri made a whole host of changes for his side's final home match of the campaign, with second place in the table secured.

Emanuele Calaio got a rare start in attack against his old club, but it was talisman Edinson Cavani who went close early on as his header came back off the crossbar.

Siena took a shock lead just before the break as Fabrizio Grillo flicked a clever finish home at the far post to take advantage of slack marking from the hosts.

Mazzarri brought on Marek Hamsik and Lorenzo Insigne in search of an equaliser in the second half and his changes finally paid off 10 minutes from time.

Late on Cavani was on hand to net his 28th league goal of the season as he reacted quickest to head home after Omar El Kaddouri's shot came back off the crossbar.

The Azzurri pushed for a late winner and deep into stoppage time made the breakthrough as Hamsik bundled home to complete an impressive campaign at the San Paolo Stadium.
