Ezequiel Lavezzi: 'Napoli will fight for Serie A'

Paris Saint-Germain striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has backed his former club Napoli to win Serie A this season.

Walter Mazzarri's side are currently third in the league table with 23 points from 11 matches, eight points behind leaders Juventus but with a game in hand.

"Napoli are doing very well this season," Lavezzi told Calcio News 24. "I saw the draw with Torino and they were unlucky to concede a goal when the game was almost over.

"I speak to them often and they sound happy with their performances, I think they will fight for the title."

Lavezzi left Napoli for PSG in the summer.
