Rafael Benitez: 'Napoli need to improve defence'

Rafael Benitez believes that his Napoli side need to be wary of their defending, ahead of his side's trip to AC Milan today.

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has admitted that his side need to improve the defensive side of their game.

Benitez's team are currently top of Serie A, having kept two clean sheets.

The Spaniard, though, believes that they leave too much space at the back when attacking, ahead of their trip to AC Milan this evening.

"Our team usually makes a real performance in the offensive phase," Benitez told FourFourTwo. "We sometimes leave empty spaces in the defensive department.

"I'm satisfied if we continue scoring two or three goals in every match, as we have done so far. If we manage not to concede any goals it will be even better.

"It's important to score goals and we'll work on improving in the defensive phase."

Napoli travel to the San Siro at 7.45pm today.
