Michel Der Zakarian disappointed by lack of quality after Nantes defeat

Der Zakarian disappointed by lack of quality

Nantes coach Michel Der Zakarian has revealed his disappointment at his side's lack of movement and technical application as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Toulouse during week 16 of the Ligue 1 season.

The hosts looked to have saved something from the fixture when Jordan Veretout's penalty cancelled out Issiaga Sylla's opener, only for Nantes to throw away the game by allowing Martin Braithwaite to grab a winner late on.

"I'm disappointed, because our first-half display was really poor. We didn't get stuck in, and when we had the ball, there was no movement," Der Zakarian told reporters after the match.

"We didn't play simply. We lacked technical precision. It was better in the second half, and we got back into it. We created two or three promising situations, but made a mistake at the back. There are bad evenings, and this was one of them."

The defeat leaves Nantes in seventh spot in the Ligue 1 table.
