Millwall's Ed Upson out for season with ankle injury

Millwall midfielder Ed Upson is ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

Millwall will be without central midfielder Ed Upson for the remainder of the season because of an ankle injury.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Lions from Yeovil Town on deadline day in January, came off against Wigan Athletic last week and won't feature again this term.

"Unfortunately Ed has suffered an ankle injury that will sideline him for the next few weeks, effectively ruling him out for the season," Lions physio Bobby Bacic told the club website.

With four games of the season left, Millwall are in the bottom three but just a point off safety. They finish the season with a run-in of Middlesbrough (A), Doncaster Rovers (H), Queens Park Rangers (A) and Bournemouth (H).
