Steve Lomas: 'Guy Moussi adds competition to midfield'

Millwall manager Steve Lomas has stated that Guy Moussi will provide cover for his squad during the Christmas period.

The 28-year-old midfielder joined the Lions on a short-term loan from Nottingham Forest on Thursday.

"He has a good pedigree, he is the right age and we've spoken a lot about getting players in with experience of the Championship," Lomas told News at Den.

"We're delighted to get him, albeit only on an emergency loan. We had one eye on the fact that, after next Thursday, the window is closed and there is a busy fixture list coming up.

"Nicky Bailey is on four bookings - one away from a ban - so it was for a combination of reasons. He is going to have to earn the right to get in the team but he adds midfield competition."

Moussi will remain at Millwall until January 2.
