Nominees for April's Championship Player of the Month revealed

The four nominees for April's Championship Player of the Month award have been revealed as Nicky Bailey, Adam Bogdan, Rudy Gestede and Jason Shackell.

Central midfielder Bailey returned from a back injury to help Millwall to an unbeaten month and out of the drop zone.

Bolton Wanderers keeper Bogdan conceded just three goals in six games, particularly impressing in the 1-0 win against Huddersfield Town.

Gestede had his best month of the season for Blackburn Rovers, scoring six goals in six starts as the Lancashire club kept within touching distance of the playoffs.

Burnley skipper Shackell, meanwhile, helped the Clarets to four clean sheets in six games as they guaranteed promotion to the Premier League.

The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
