Tony Mowbray pleased with Middlesbrough reaction

Tony Mowbray says that Middlesbrough reacted well to going a goal down early on against Yeovil Town.

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has said that he was pleased with how his side reacted to going a goal down against Yeovil Town at the Riverside Stadium this afternoon.

Liam Davies put the visitors in front after just four minutes, but goals from Grant Leadbitter and Alfred Adomah had the hosts 2-1 ahead by half time.

Jacob Butterfield and Kei Kamara added to the scoreline in the second half to bring Boro their first home win of the season.

"We gifted them an early goal but the reaction to that was very positive," PA quotes Mowbray as saying. "We got the equaliser very quickly, we went ahead, we hit the bar, we hit the post, and we got ahead and stayed composed. It was a good display.

"So is [winning at home] a relief? I don't think so. We have been playing well in recent weeks and we knew it would come. But yes, it is important to turn those good performances into wins.

"Six draws from 11 games is too many and all of those felt like defeats to us because we probably warranted more than a single point in all of those."

The win lifts them to 15th place in the Championship.
