Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka wary of Huddersfield Town match

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka insists that his side cannot afford to go easy in their Championship clash against struggling Huddersfield Town.

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has admitted that he is wary of the challenge his side face against Huddersfield Town.

Boro are flying high in the Championship following their win over Queens Park Rangers last time out and now face the struggling Terriers in their trip to John Smith's Stadium.

However, Karanka has insisted that the match will provide a massive test for his team due to the effect new manager David Wagner has brought to Huddersfield.

He told the club's official website: "If you look at the table everybody may think it's going to be an easy game but that would be a mistake. They have a new manager and have improved in their last game.

"They lost, but for 70 minutes they were really good so we have to go there thinking it's going to be difficult and trying to beat them. Every game you play against a team with a new manager is extra motivation for their players.

"All of them now have the same opportunities from the coach and I'm sure they will all want to impress him and for this reason it's going to be difficult. But we have to think about ourselves and try to beat them."

Boro are third in the Championship ahead of their clash against Huddersfield on Saturday.
