Franck Passi urges Jordan Ayew to improve attitude

Passi advises Ayew

Marseille assistant coach Franck Passi has advised forward Jordan Ayew to improve his temperament.

The 21-year-old clashed with David Beckham during his side's Coupe de France game against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

The incident followed Ayew's dismissal against Evian TG last month in which he was booked twice inside two minutes of coming on.

"I know his dad, Abedi [Pele], well," ESPNSoccernet quotes Passi as saying. "I imagine that his father isn't proud of what he's seeing.

"Sometimes, he's a little irritable on the pitch. He was coming back from suspension. He wanted to show what he can do and get things going, and that translates into a little bit of anger.

"He's a young player, but he's going to have to mature quickly so that he can show his qualities as a footballer."

Ayew has been at Marseille since 2006.
