Anthony Martial misses out on a place in France's squad for their upcoming qualifiers against Bulgaria and Belarus, while Moussa Sissoko earns a recall.

Manchester United ace Anthony Martial has once again been overlooked for selection by Didier Deschamps for France's upcoming World Cup qualifying games.

The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the Red Devils this campaign, playing a direct part in eight goals across the opening two months of the season.

Martial was left out of Les Bleus' last squad for games against the Netherlands and Luxembourg, however, and Deschamps has again omitted the versatile attacker for the final batch of qualifying fixtures.

There is a recall for Moussa Sissoko following his upturn in fortunes at Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, as he fills in for the injured Paul Pogba.

Marseille winger Dimitri Payet is also included, as is centre-back Raphael Varane fresh on the back of signing a new contract at Real Madrid.

France, who face Bulgaria and Belarus next week, currently lead the Group A standings but still have plenty of work to do if they are to finish top.

France squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Areola (PSG), Lloris (Spurs), Mandanda (Marseille)

Defenders: Digne (Barcelona), Jallet (Nice), Kimpembe (PSG), Koscielny (Arsenal), Kurzawa (PSG), Sidibe (Monaco), Umtiti (Barcelona), Varane (Real Madrid)

Midfielders: Kante (Chelsea), Matuidi (Juventus), Rabiot (PSG), Sissoko (Spurs), Tolisso (Bayern Munich)

Strikers: Coman (Bayern Munich), Giroud (Arsenal), Griezmann (Atletico Madrid), Lacazette (Arsenal), Lemar (Monaco), Mbappe (PSG), Payet (Marseille), Thauvin (Marseille)
