West Ham United are reportedly preparing to offer Declan Rice a lucrative deal at the London Stadium, with the club set to shift more than £100,000 off their wage bill when Felipe Anderson departs.
Anderson is on the verge of rejoining Lazio from the Hammers, who are set to receive a transfer fee of around £5m, in addition to removing the attacker's salary from the budget.
According to The Sun, David Moyes's side will attempt to use some of the wages freed up by Anderson's exit to convince Rice to sign a new long-term deal.
The 22-year-old's current contract at the London Stadium is due to run until June 2024, but Manchester United and Chelsea are both believed to be showing an interest.
Rice, who has allegedly already turned down two offers to extend with West Ham, impressed for England during their run to the final of this summer's European Championship.
The Hammers are said to be in talks with the midfielder's representatives, with the club hopeful that an agreement can be reached in the not too distant future.
