United rejected with '£70m plus Henrikh Mkhitaryan' deal

United rejected in '£70m, Mkhitaryan' deal

Juventus have reportedly turned down an offer of £70m plus the services of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United in exchange for Paulo Dybala.

The 24-year-old striker is thought to be United manager Jose Mourinho's top target in January as he eyes a long-term replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, although the Serie A side are rumoured to have demanded a transfer of £133m for the Argentina international.

According to The Sun, United have tabled a first offer of £70m cash as well as the exchange of Mkhitaryan, who is out of favour at Old Trafford after an alleged training-ground row with Mourinho.

The newspaper says that the Old Lady have immediately rejected the proposal as they 'feel they don't need another wide player' and have informed United that only offers of at least £86m will be listened to.

Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has also been of interest to Mourinho and he too has a price tag of £86m, but the club are said to have pulled out of their pursuit of the Frenchman in recent days over concerns that he is too expensive.
