United 'made late bid for Felipe Anderson'

Manchester United had a reported bid for Felipe Anderson turned down by Lazio days before the end of the transfer window.

It is believed that Louis van Gaal offered £29.1m for the Brazilian but according to Calciomercato.com, the Serie A club turned down the approach.

The Dutchman is reportedly a big fan of the 22-year-old and it has been suggested that the club might return in January with a fresh bid.

Felipe Anderson scored 12 goals in 58 appearances for the Italian side last season
