Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly confident of keeping hold of £200m-rated talisman Harry Kane, despite the striker suggesting that he could look to leave the club.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly still confident of keeping Harry Kane at the club despite recent comments from the striker suggesting that he could leave.

Kane last week warned that he would not stay with his boyhood club "for the sake of it" if he felt that they were not progressing, casting more doubt on his future following speculation that he could seek an exit in search of more silverware.

A number of clubs including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have been touted as possible destinations for the England skipper should he decide to leave North London.

However, Spurs have reportedly slapped a £200m asking price on his head, and the Daily Mail claims that they are confident that no club will be willing or able to meet that during what is expected to be a subdued transfer window following the coronavirus outbreak.

Tottenham were allegedly not surprised by Kane's comments having become increasingly aware of his desire to win trophies, and they accept that they face a battle to keep hold of him should they miss out on Champions League qualification for next season.

However, chairman Daniel Levy believes that he is in a strong position to keep Kane for at least one more season, regardless of whether his side can finish the 2019-20 campaign in the top four.
