Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plays down chances of further Manchester United incomings

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not expecting any new arrivals in the January transfer window, but admits that players could leave the club.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not expect any new arrivals before the end of the January transfer window, but has admitted that one or two players could leave the club.

United, who are currently second in the Premier League behind rivals Manchester City, are hoping to win their first league title since 2013 and are also in the hunt for Europa League and FA Cup glory.

The Red Devils have already completed the signing of Atalanta winger Amad Diallo earlier in the window, but Solskjaer is not expecting any further additions this month.

"I wouldn't think so, no. I'd be surprised if we do any incomings," the Norwegian told Sky Sports News.

"The squad is strong, it's full of quality. I still need to leave players out for the squad at times. Bar something surprising happening, I wouldn't think something will happen [in terms of] incomings.

"No deal has been struck for any of the players yet going out – still a little period left, of course. There's been many clubs interested in our players, so let's see what happens."

United, who are unbeaten in their last 13 league matches, come up against Sheffield United on Wednesday night, hoping to return to the summit of the Premier League.
