Louis Saha: 'Manchester United need four more signings to challenge for titles'

Louis Saha claims that Manchester United need four more signings in order to challenge for major trophies once again.

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has claimed that the Red Devils need four more signings in order to challenge for major trophies once again.

United eased the pressure on head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with an impressive 3-1 win at Everton on Saturday afternoon, but the club will enter the international break down in 14th position in the Premier League table.

Saha has said that the 20-time English champions are still some way off battling for titles, with the Frenchman insisting that four more players of a similar quality to Bruno Fernandes are required to help the club return to former glories.

"The focus is on Solskjaer. But you also have to look at the recruitment. Some new signings like Fred, you can see the quality but he's not going to make the difference," Saha told Stadium Astro.

"The signing of Fernandes, you need four of them. You need four of them to actually compete and this is what is missing."

United, who finished third in last season's Premier League table, will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they welcome West Bromwich Albion to Old Trafford on November 21.
