Report: West Bromwich Albion make Darren Fletcher enquiry

West Bromwich Albion are preparing to make a move for Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher, according to a report.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly made an enquiry to Manchester United over the availability of midfielder Darren Fletcher.

The 30-year-old has struggled to hold down a place in the starting lineup in his final year at Old Trafford, making just 11 Premier League appearances for the club - the majority of which have come from the bench.

Having been replaced as vice-captain by Michael Carrick last month, Sky Sports News claims that the Scotland international could now be on his way this month, with the Baggies expected to make a bid.

Fletcher, who has also been linked with a move to Aston Villa in the past, will be able to leave United for free in the summer following a 19-year stint with the Red Devils.
