Report: Manchester United want Anwar El Ghazi

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has reportedly identified Ajax youngster Anwar El Ghazi as the player to add speed and invention to his attack.

Van Gaal is expected to move for a pacey wideman in the January transfer window and has been strongly linked with a move for Southampton's Sadio Mane.

However, according to the Daily Mail, El Ghazi has emerged as the Premier League team's top target, with the club preparing to launch a bid when the winter window opens.

The 20-year-old, who joined Ajax in 2014 after spending time at both Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam, has scored eight times in 10 league appearances for his Dutch club this season.

Barcelona have also been strongly linked with a move for the attacker.
