Report: Manchester United eye Turkish defender Omer Toprak

Manchester United have reportedly scouted Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Omer Toprak in recent weeks.

Widespread speculation has claimed that the Red Devils will look to bolster their defensive options during the summer with at least one new arrival in that position.

According to German publication Kicker, one of those targets is Leverkusen's Turkey international Toprak.

However, the report adds that United may face some competition for the 26-year-old's signature from Bayern Munich.

Toprak, who has been with Leverkusen since 2011, is contracted for another three years.
