Report: Cleverley's Villa move in doubt

Tom Cleverley's proposed move to Aston Villa from Manchester United could reportedly fall through due to wage demands.

The England international is said to have attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Hull City and Valencia.

United are reportedly willing to sell the midfielder, who is expected to struggle for first-team action following the summer arrivals of Ander Herrera and Angel di Maria.

According to The Telegraph, an £8m fee has been agreed between Villa and United, but Cleverley's representatives are said to be pushing for a £60,000-a-week pay package, which Villa are reluctant to offer.

Hull manager Steve Bruce admitted yesterday that the Tigers are out of the race to sign Cleverley.
