Real Madrid to swoop for David de Gea, Eden Hazard ahead of transfer ban?

Real Madrid could reportedly target David de Gea and Eden Hazard this summer as their appeal against a transfer ban is likely to delay the sanction.

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to make big-money moves for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and Chelsea star Eden Hazard before their transfer ban is implemented.

On Thursday, the Spanish giants and their local rivals Atletico Madrid were banned from registering players in the next two transfer windows.

FIFA's punishment, which prevents the La Liga outfits from buying players this summer and in January 2017, was issued as a result of both clubs breaching rules on signing foreign players under the age of 18.

Real and Atletico have appealed against the sanctions, meaning that any ban would be delayed until next January, therefore freeing the clubs to gather a host of players in the summer.

According to the Daily Star, Real could splurge at the end of the season, with De Gea, whom they almost signed last summer, Hazard and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane all on their wishlist.

Everton defender John Stones has also been linked to the Spanish side, but it is unlikely that any of their main targets will sign for the club in this window.
