Paul Pogba has revealed that he wants to show his former club Manchester United that they have "made a mistake" in letting him leave the club this summer.

The 29-year-old is to depart Old Trafford when his contract expires on June 30, six years after re-joining the club from Juventus for a then world-record fee of £89m.

The France international has since been strongly linked with a return to Juve, with one report claiming that he has verbally agreed to sign a four-year contract with the Italian giants at the start of July.

Pogba endured a mixed second spell with Man United, failing to win a single trophy in his last five years at the club, but the midfielder is now keen to prove to the Red Devils that they were wrong to let him go.

Speaking in his new documentary 'The Pogmentary' on Amazon Prime, Pogba said: "My thought process is to show Manchester (United) that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract. And to show other clubs that they had made a mistake in not offering me a contract."

United are understood to have made two contract offers to Pogba, worth in excess of £290,000 a week, but in the documentary, the Frenchman states to his late agent Mino Raiola that the club have offered him "nothing".

"How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and offer him nothing? Never seen that," said Pogba.

Pogba, who won the Europa League and League Cup during the first season of his second spell at Man United under Jose Mourinho, recorded 39 goals and 51 assists in 323 appearances for the club across all competitions.
