Barcelona 'tell Manchester United to end Jordi Alba pursuit'

Manchester United have reportedly been told by Barcelona that they will not sell Jordi Alba this summer.

The former Premier League champions are said to be tracking the left-back as they search for a long-term replacement for Patrice Evra.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have informed United officials that they should end their pursuit of the Spaniard because he is not for sale.

The Red Devils' hunt for a left-back could end in success after reports emerged claiming that Southampton's Luke Shaw has agreed a £160,000-a-week deal to move to Old Trafford.
