Manchester United to reignite Raphael Varane interest next summer?

Manchester United will reportedly put Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane at the top of their transfer wishlist next summer.

The Frenchman has been linked with the Red Devils for some time, while Chelsea were also thought to be interested at one stage.

According to Le10Sport, United are hoping that Varane continues to be a regular on the Madrid bench so that he will be more easily persuaded to move to Old Trafford at the end of this season.

Louis van Gaal's initial defensive target was Sergio Ramos, but the Spaniard opted to sign a new contract at the Bernabeu instead.
