Manchester United prepare Kevin Strootman bid?

Manchester United are reportedly planning a bid for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Kevin Strootman.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had kept tabs on the 22-year-old over the summer, but didn't press ahead with a move.

However, he could now table a £14m offer for the Dutch international in the New Year, according to talkSPORT.

Strootman, who has scored five goals this season, joined PSV from Utrecht in 2011.
