Man Utd 'leading Barca, Real Madrid in Sancho race'

Manchester United are reportedly at the head of the queue in the race for Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.

Having amassed 14 goals and 16 assists during the 2019-20 Bundesliga campaign, Sancho has emerged as one of the most sought-after prospects in Europe.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been credited with an interest in the England international, but United are reportedly one step ahead of their rivals in the hunt for Sancho.

According to The Athletic, United chairman Ed Woodward has let it be known that the Red Devils are taking a serious interest in the winger.

The report also claims that Sancho's former side Manchester City have first refusal to match any bids for Sancho, but the Citizens are unlikely to make an attempt to lure the winger back to the Etihad.

Sancho played the final 11 minutes in Dortmund's 4-0 drubbing of Schalke 04 on Saturday, as the Bundesliga returned after more than two months out due to the coronavirus pandemic.
