Manchester United 'keeping tabs on £28m Valencia midfielder Uros Racic'

Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Uros Racic after the Valencia star was handed his La Liga debut last weekend.

Racic is a towering central midfielder and has been compared to Nemanja Matic in terms of his style of play.

The 22-year-old, back at Valencia after a successful spell on loan with Famalicao in Portugal last season, came on for the final 20 minutes of Sunday's 4-2 win over Levante.

According to The Sun, Racic's name is already well known behind the scenes at Old Trafford, having been tracked by the Premier League club for some time.

Valencia inserted a €100m (£92m) release clause in the Serbia Under-21s international's contract, but it is reported that they may cash in this summer for a far smaller sum.

With Los Che looking to balance the books, a bid of £28m could be enough to land Racic's signature before the October 5 deadline.
