Man Utd 'considering move for Man City's Sterling'

Manchester United are weighing up an audacious bid for Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling, according to a report.

The England international has been one of City's star performers over the past few seasons, scoring and assisting a combined 78 goals in the Premier League alone since the start of 2017-18.

Sterling has previously admitted that he would like to play in Spain one day, but he has offered no other indication that he is seeking a move away from City this summer.

However, The Independent suggests that the 25-year-old's stance may change if the Citizens' European ban is upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport this month.

It is claimed that United will test the water by making a move for Sterling if City are blocked from competing in the Champions League at their expense.

Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho is said to remain the Red Devils' priority target, though, along with Jack Grealish of Aston Villa and Swansea City defender Joe Rodon.
