Manchester United 'confident of beating Liverpool to Jadon Sancho'

Manchester United are confident of beating Liverpool to the signature of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly confident of beating Liverpool to the signature of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

The 19-year-old has made waves in Germany since leaving Manchester City in 2017, becoming a regular in Gareth Southgate's England squad and one of the Bundesliga's most impressive players.

United were heavily linked with Sancho in the summer but they were unable to agree any form of deal with Dortmund.

The player's relationship with the club and manager Lucien Favre has worsened since he was substituted after just 36 minutes of their recent 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, with The Telegraph now reporting that the Red Devils see themselves as favourites to nab him in the near future.

Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side cannot promise the youngster Champions League football as yet, they are thought to be confident of attracting him back to Manchester after publicly making him a top transfer target.

Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the England international, but they are all thought to have cooled their interest in recent weeks.
