Man United to renew interest in Rose?

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.

During the summer, Rose made comments regarding Spurs' transfer policy and suggested that he would be open to a transfer to another Premier League club, but the England international has since made his return to the squad after a long-term knee injury.

However, according to The Sun, the 27-year-old's successful comeback has only led to United boss Jose Mourinho considering an approach for the left-back's signature at the start of 2018.

The position is a problem area for Mourinho, with Ashley Young, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian all having opportunities on the flank since the start of the season, while Luke Shaw remains out of favour.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to entertain selling Rose to a direct rival, especially United with business rarely being conducted between the two clubs, but it has been claimed that Rose would be interested in the move.

Rose has made two starts and one substitute appearance since making his return against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the middle of October.
