Man United to offer Cleverley five-year deal?

Manchester United are reportedly poised to offer midfielder Tom Cleverley a new contract at Old Trafford.

Cleverley's performances have been criticised this season, with almost 20,000 fans signing a petition calling for the England international to stay away from this summer's World Cup.

Nevertheless, United manager David Moyes remains keen on Cleverley and, according to the Daily Mail, a five-year deal worth £60,000 a week is being prepared for the 24-year-old.

Cleverley's current contract has just over one year left to run.
