Manchester United sign Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Manchester United have revealed that they completed the signing of Timothy Fosu-Mensah ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

The 16-year-old was spotted by scouts from Old Trafford while in action for Ajax at the recent Aegon Future Cup.

He was highly regarded among the coaching staff at Ajax, but after a bid, thought to be in the region of £300,000, was accepted by the Dutch club, the left-back will now continue his development with United.

The Premier League side have confirmed that Fosu-Mensah will not be able to turn out for the club's youth sides until he receives an international transfer certificate.
