Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly keen on signing Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi.
The 18-year-old has made a solid start to the Serie B season, scoring one goal in his opening two games.
According to The Mirror, Ferguson has sent his Italian scouts to compile a dossier on the player with a view to making a firm bid.
Berardi has represented Italy at Under-19 level.
