Man United 'reject Rodriguez plus £27.4m bid for Pogba'

Manchester United have reportedly rejected Real Madrid's offer of £27.4m plus James Rodriguez for the transfer of Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman stressed earlier in the summer that he wanted a "new challenge" elsewhere, with Real Madrid said to be his favoured destination.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made it clear on Saturday that he fully expected Pogba to be a United player for the 2019-20 campaign.

According to The Times, Real's offer of £27.4m plus Rodriguez has been flatly rejected by United.

The Premier League club, who value Pogba at £150m, have been confident throughout the summer that the midfielder - despite his agent's claims - would stay at Old Trafford for at least another year

Real cannot meet the midfielder's valuation after spending £300m on transfers during this window, and they are reportedly willing to be patient in their pursuit of the 26-year-old.
