Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Rennes to discuss the availability of attacker Martin Terrier.
The Reds have already bolstered their frontline with the addition of Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven this month, with the 23-year-old joining for an initial fee of around £37m.
However, Jurgen Klopp may consider another attack-minded signing as Roberto Firmino – who is out of contract in the summer – faces an uncertain future at the club.
According to French news outlet Media Foot, via The Mirror, Liverpool have made contact with Rennes to sign 25-year-old Terrier, while Arsenal and Manchester United have also been credited with an interest.
Rennes would allegedly entertain offers in the region of €35m (£30.8m) for the Frenchman, who is under contract at Roazhon Park until June 2026.

Terrier has established himself as a star player for Rennes since joining the club from fellow Ligue 1 side Lyon for around €12m (£10.6m) in the summer of 2020.
The Armentieres-born attacker has scored 42 goals and provided 20 assists in 106 appearances for Rennes across all competitions, including 12 strikes and five assists in 22 games this season.
Terrier elevated his stature in Ligue 1 last season after scoring 21 league goals in 37 matches, with only Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe (28) and Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder (25) scoring more than the Rennes forward.
The Frenchman is yet to be capped at senior level but his goalscoring exploits have caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs, with Liverpool seemingly hoping to steal a march on their rivals.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will pursue a move for Terrier in January or step up their interest in the summer, as they are believed to be prioritising the signing of a new centre-midfielder.
A move for top target Jude Bellingham appears unlikely this month, with Borussia Dortmund refusing to sell unless they receive a significant bid in excess of £100m.
Atalanta BC's Teun Koopmeiners recently admitted that he was flattered to learn of interest from Liverpool, but head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has insisted that the 24-year-old will not be leaving the Italian club in January.
The Reds have also been linked with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion's Moises Caicedo, Benfica's Enzo Fernandez, Borussia Monchengladbach's Kouadio Kone and Valencia's Yunus Musah.
