Lazio could offer Manchester United attacker Juan Mata a two-year contract this summer, according to a report.

Lazio are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United attacker Juan Mata this summer.

The 33-year-old's current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire at the end of June, and it appears unlikely that the Red Devils will be taking up a 12-month extension on the contract.

As a result, Mata is expected to be available on a free transfer this summer, and a number of clubs have been credited with an interest in recent months.

According to Il Tempo, the experienced attacker's agent has been in contact with Lazio to determine whether the Italian outfit would be interested in offering his client a deal.

The report claims that the Serie A club are considering placing a two-year contract on the table as they look to boost their attack for the 2021-22 campaign.

Mata has only featured on 14 occasions for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side during the 2020-21 campaign and has only played two minutes of Premier League football since the middle of December.
