Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is determined to leave the club this summer and join Premier League champions Manchester City, according to a report.

The 28-year-old failed to turn up for pre-season training on Monday and Tuesday amid speculation surrounding his future, with Spurs reportedly prepared to hand their talisman a 'significant fine' for his actions.

According to Football Insider, Kane has told England teammate and fellow City transfer target Jack Grealish his desire to move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The report also states that the striker will do "whatever it takes" to leave Spurs before the August 31 deadline and there is nothing that will stop him from doing so.

Kane has spent his entire career with Tottenham but has yet to win a major trophy and is keen to force a move this summer, with Pep Guardiola's side believed to be his preferred destination.

The England captain, who is valued in excess of £120m, is also being monitored by Chelsea and Manchester United, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy remains reluctant to sell their star player, particularly to a direct Premier League rival.

Kane seemingly faces a more challenging battle to depart White Hart Lane than Grealish does in leaving Aston Villa, who are reportedly prepared to accept City's £100m bid for the midfielder.
